It is a unique bridge between our town's storied past and the bright future of the young women who lead it.\n\n  A Legacy of Local Pride\n\nLatrobe holds a special place in history as the birthplace of the Banana Split\, created by David Strickler in 1904. Our Princess serves as the primary ambassador for this rich cultural heritage. By participating\, young women help preserve our town's unique legacy and foster a deep sense of community pride that lasts a lifetime.\n\n  Leadership & Life Skills\n\nThe pageant is designed as a personal development powerhouse. Throughout their journey\, participants gain:\n\n\n	\n	Public Speaking Excellence: Mastering the art of communication in front of diverse audiences.\n	\n	\n	Civic Responsibility: Engaging in meaningful volunteer opportunities and Chamber events.\n	\n	\n	Professional Confidence: Building a foundation for future academic and career endeavors through leadership training.\n	\n\n\n  Sisterhood & Support\n\nWhat makes this program truly special is the camaraderie. Participants consistently share that the lasting friendships and supportive environment of the pageant rehearsals are just as valuable as the title itself. Whether or not they walk away with the crown\, every young woman leaves with a stronger network and a greater sense of belonging.\n\n \n\n  An Enhanced Future: The Saint Vincent Challenge Scholarship\n\nWe are proud to announce a significant evolution in our program. To provide a lasting educational impact\, we have replaced the traditional cash award with a Scholarship to the Saint Vincent College Challenge Camp\, funded through generous sponsorship by First Commonwealth Advisors and Saint Vincent College. This partnership reflects our commitment to empowering our Princess with meaningful academic opportunities that extend far beyond the pageant stage.\n\n\nJoin the Evolution\n\nOur program has shifted its focus to community service\, personal growth\, and civic pride.
