DESCRIPTION:LifeSpan Family Services is a Foster Care and Adoption agency headquartered in Punxsutawney\, PA and services all of Western & Central PA counties.   As of February 2018 they opened their latest office in New Stanton at 127 Stan Ave (next to Norwin Messenger Service).   Lifespan's focus is to recruit foster parents in Pennsylvania's rural and suburban areas.  Unfortunately\, these areas have been underserved in the past and children often had to be placed many hours away from their home county.   \n\n \n\nMay is National Foster Care month\, time to recognize that we each can play a part in enhancing the lives of children and youth in foster care. Everyone is invited to participate by donating gently worn (used) and new shoes of all types and sizes for children and adults!  Sneakers\, Dress Shoes\, Baseball Cleats\, Winter Boots\, etc    The only shoes we are not able to accept are Roller Blades/Roller Skates and Ice Skates.    We are looking for volunteers to coordinate collections at their place of business and/or neighborhoods.  Please contact Tiffany or Veronica at 724-498-4961.   We will have a drop-off box available at our location 24 hours a day during May and June.   Please consider bringing donations the day of our ribbon cutting ceremony!
