Chamber University: Little Black Book presented by Grand Canyon University
Have you ever wondered how to take that random business card you received at a networking event and turn it into a new client? “Little Black Book” is an interactive session that discusses the ins and outs of networking, how to achieve the most from attending a networking event, and the steps to take in order to continue building relationships with potential new partners. Attendees will learn the basics of networking, how to work through the room and maximize contact-building, and most importantly, how to turn those that you casually met while networking into business partners, contacts, and customers.
Allen Martello is a University Development Counselor at Grand Canyon University. Previously Allen has served as a Chamber President and Director of Marketing, and was the managing partner of a full service marketing firm. Allen has presented networking and informational seminars at Saint Vincent College, Seton Hill University, and the University of Pittsburgh. With nearly 15 years experience combined as a Chamber of Commerce member and then executive, he has been able to begin mastering the concept of networking, and how to build the perfect little black book. Allen is on the board of directors for the Ligonier Valley YMCA and the Laurel Highlands Intertribal Foundation. He is a member of both the GLLV and Pittsburgh Young Professionals, as well as the Communications Committee for the Pennsylvania Association of College Admissions Counselors.
