Honor Connor Patsilevas and Help Children Battle Cancer During Childhood Cancer
Earlier this year, the Pittsburgh community rallied together to raise $200,000 to help eight-year-old Connor Patsilevas from Moon Township battle a rare brain tumor, known as DIPG. Sadly, Connor passed away in May, just weeks before he was to receive his lifesaving treatment. Connor's memory lives on, and his family continues to fight, not only for a cure for DIPG, but for his mother, Alyson, who is battling breast cancer. The Patsilevas family wants to honor Connor's memory by holding a month-long blood drive at all Central Blood Bank community donor centers September 1 - 30 and a special mobile drive on October 2 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church from 11:30 a.m to 6 p.m.
