Pop-Up Studio – Become Unraveled

Let your slightly destructive creative side come into full play as you alter a simple piece of burlap into a fully-fledged artwork by unraveling various strands. This is the ‘un-weaving’ approach to weaving that allows you to unleash your powers of reduction! Once you alter your burlap canvas through this removal technique, you’ll be able to alter it further by weaving a variety of other materials and objects into the burlap to create an artwork out of the originally humble and plain canvas. Bring your own ribbons, yarn, or other materials if you want to add a personal touch to your piece or use the materials we supply in the studio. Pop-Up Studios are fun opportunities for adults, ages 18 and above, to get in touch with their inner creativity. Each class explores different techniques and media. No previous art experience is needed. Wine, beer, snacks and materials will be provided.
