Pop-Up Studio – Plaster Cast Wall Hanging Plaque
Join artist Brian Miller to learn the art of creating a relief cast in plaster. You’ll begin by working in clay to develop your design into a mold and Brian will show you the art of thinking in reverse as he guides you in this fascinating process. Once you’ve carved out your clay, you’ll pour the plaster into the mold and then the waiting begins. As soon as the plaster has dried and the clay mold is removed, you’ll have a plaster plaque that can be left as is or painted to add a whole new dimension. Pop-Up Studios are fun opportunities for adults, ages 18 and above, to get in touch with their inner creativity. Each class explores different techniques and media. No previous art experience is needed. Wine, beer, snacks and materials will be provided. Cost: $15 for members, $20 for non-members. Space is limited and advance registration required by the Monday before the Pop-Up. Register online or contact 1.888.71TICKETS to register.
