Ribbon Cutting for Blessing Box on Lloyd Avenue
Join us as we cut the ribbon for the Blessing Box on Lloyd Avenue.Business and Professional Women of Pennsylvania has selected Hunger Free PA as its statewide project for the year. In support of this initiative, the Latrobe Business and Professional Women organization has focused its efforts on addressing food insecurity within the local community.Throughout the club year, Latrobe BPW has supported area nonprofits through its Random Acts of Kindness program, providing both monetary and food donations to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, Welcome Home Shelter, and the Latrobe Rotary’s school snack bag program. In the fall of 2025, Latrobe BPW expanded its commitment by launching a project to build and sponsor a Blessings Box in the City of Latrobe. The project began with securing approval from the property owner, Adelphoi USA. Nancy Kukovich, Chief Executive Officer, immediately expressed enthusiastic support for the initiative. Approval was also granted by Primary Health Network, the property lessee, with permission provided by Julie Myers, Regional Director of Operations.Construction and installation of the Blessings Box were made possible through the generous donation of time and expertise by Latrobe BPW member Teresa Lytle and her spouse, Paul Lytle. The Blessings Box was completed and installed by late December and is now fully operational and ready to serve members of the community in need.
